For your ease, we’ve collected the essential information all CSLC families need to participate in the life of our community.

2026-2027 Key Dates

Tuesday, September 8

  • First Day of Instruction – Grades 1–8

  • 8:45–9:15 a.m. – Opening Day Assembly & Rose Ceremony (All families are warmly invited.)

  • 9:00–10:00 a.m. – Kindergarten Warming Day

Wednesday, September 9

  • First Day of Kindergarten

Tuesday, September 15

  • Parent Guild Meeting

  • 1:00–2:45 p.m.

  • All parents and caregivers are welcome.

Friday, October 2

  • Michaelmas Festival (Grades 1–8)

  • 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Class Meetings & Orientations

Grade Meetings

  • Fourth Grade: September 2 | 4:30–6:00 p.m.

  • Second Grade: September 10 | 6:00–8:00 p.m.

  • Fifth/Sixth Grade: September 16 | 5:30–7:30 p.m.

    • 6:30–7:30 p.m. will be held jointly with the Eighth Grade meeting.

  • Eighth Grade: September 16 | 6:30–8:30 p.m.

    • 6:30–7:30 p.m. will be held jointly with the Fifth/Sixth Grade meeting.

  • First Grade: September 17 | 6:00–8:00 p.m.

  • Expect a seasonal newsletter from CSLC staff. Each teacher will send additional updates, monthly for kindergarten and once per block rotation for grades.

  • At Cedar Springs Learning Center we ask that all families commit to completing 50 Volunteer Hours per year.

    Families are asked to commit to making two service hour deposits, one per semester, of $500/deposit ($1,000 annually).  Logged service hours are tallied in December and May and credited back to your account at a rate of $20 per logged hour, up to the full $1,000.
